Ordering Televisions from Argos: Shipping and Delivery Times/Postage and Packaging Costs

You can ask Argos to deliver your television or television accessory to any address you choose including a works address, as long as the address chosen is in the UK or Northern Ireland (Argos has a separate website for Southern Ireland). As you will need to sign for your television or television accessory when it's delivered, being able to choose an alternative delivery address makes the process easy.

Argos offers two delivery services, one for smaller items which can be carried by one delivery person and one for larger items which require two delivery people. If you are ordering a smaller television or a television accessory, this will usually be delivered under the smaller deliveries service. However, large-screen televisions are classed as larger items, so bear this in mind when placing your order.

• Smaller deliveries: These will normally be delivered within 48 hours the delivery charge is £4.95. If you need your television or television accessory to be delivered the next day before 1pm or delivered on a Saturday the delivery charge will be £7.90. Delivery times are 8am – 6pm, Monday – Friday and 8am – 2pm on Saturday
• Larger items: These usually take between 7 and 28 days depending on the item. Large-screen televisions generally take 7 days. When your order is ready, Argos will contact you to arrange a time for delivery. There You can usually choose to have your item delivered in one of two time slots –between 7.30am – 1pm or between 12pm – 6pm. Argos's delivery people will also usually take the item to the your chosen room so that you don't have to struggle to move it when it arrives.

Ordering Televisions from Argos: Refunds and Returns Policy

If you decide that you don't want your television or television accessory after it arrives, you can usually take advantage of Argos's 16 day “no quibble” guarantee, as most products on Argos's website are covered by this. Any product which isn't covered by it is marked with a “†” symbol on the product description page, so it's worth double-checking this before you place your order.

The 16 day “no quibble” guarantee means that you can either return your television to any Argos store within 16 days of purchase or, if it was delivered to you, you can just telephone Argos and they will arrange to pick it up from your home free of charge.

If you find that the television or television accessory you have bought from Argos is faulty within 30 days, you can return it with your order number or the delivery packaging and Argos will usually offer to replace it, repair it or refund your money.

If you find that the television or television accessory you have bought from Argos is faulty between 30 days and one year after you bought it, you can return it with your order number or the delivery packaging and Argos will usually repair it. If Argos can't repair it, they will usually offer you a replacement.
