Try to find a model with a viewing angle of 170° or greater so that you can watch your new TV from anywhere in the room.

When choosing a flatscreen television, it’s worth considering buying a Widescreen model, as these are more suitable for use when watching DVDs and Widescreen broadcasts are becoming more popular.

It’s worth considering buying an HD-Ready flatscreen TV so that you won’t have to upgrade your television if you later want to buy a High Definition set-top box.

Digital Coverage

If the model of flatscreen television that you are considering has an integrated digital tuner, make sure that you can receive digital signals in your area.

Check the warranty offered by the manufacturer carefully – you may want to extend it.
